Best ways to help animals

Chen Cohen (Israël): De dierenrechtenbeweging in Israël
Beide lezingen gaan door in het Engels.

19u-20u: Jacy Reese (USA):

Jacy Reese (USA) is working for Animal Charity Evaluators and will share some of the key insights from his years of research on the most effective ways to help animals. He'll show how even relatively small amounts of donations and volunteering with the most impactful projects can double, triple, or further multiply the impact of going vegan. Finally, the talk will argue for some crucial considerations on how we can, as a movement, create an animal-free food system

20u-20u30: break met hapjes

20u30-21u30: Chen Cohen (Israel):

In just a few short years, Israel has become the holy land for veganism, including now having the worlds highest per capita vegan population. From a prime minister touting Meatless Monday, to a vegetarian president, to vegan options for soldiers in the army, a prime-time TV show vegan winner, and dozens of new vegan restaurants in the tiny nation, the nations experiencing a major shift toward vegan lifestyle.

Chen Cohen presents in his talk this fascinating story: How did it happen? Was there a trigger event? What approach seemed to work with Israelis? Is it related to the tough political situation? And lastly, what can we learn from it and offer other nations in the attempt at spreading the vegan movement further?
